Visit to Tryambakeshwar

Writing after a long time. Had loads of things in my mind, but hardly had any time to pen my thoughts. Recently I visited to Tryambakeshwar. It is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. It is said that anyone who visits Tryambakeshwar & has a dip in the Kunda ( a small water reservoir, where people take bath & then visit the temple). It is said that when you dip into the Kunda and perform a puja all your sins are washed away and you get a licence to commit new sins. :)

I saw people coming from far places to perform various pujas. All the pujas were for different purposes. Some were for shraadhs, some were to attain salvation, and some were performed for the spirits who did not attain moksha (whose wishes weren't fulfilled). Prayers were performed for such spirits. It was said that people who died accidently and had some wishes left unfulfilled, such people's spirits were suffering. Such spirits are helped to attain enlightenment. I know these words are getting very philosophical, but that is what i understood in my tour to Tryambakeshwar. Every one came there to pray for their fore father's peace.

When I was at Tryambakeshwar, I always kept on wondering that if people came here for their fore father's peace & moksha, there would be so many spirits roaming at this entire place. My mother agreed too & then my grandma explained why there was a huge Shivji's temple created at Tryambakeshwar. Coz Shivji is believed to be the destructor of evil.

Peformed all the Pujas and and the rituals. It was a good experience.
